Well, from the very first day at the end of June until the very last day at the end of October....
The Fat Lady Has Sang!
It is finished!
Whew, what a journey!
Scott suggested that we do the rock and mortar around the flower bed to help with the water/drainage flow. I love how it turned out and cant wait to have it done on the other flower bed in front of the little boys' window.
I had wanted to trim the pool in rock but didn't think the budget would allow. Scott actually came to us and suggested it because it made it easier/cheaper for him. What a sweet bonus!
I designed the platform/fountain area, which was inspired from Pinterest.
The steps are in...time for the liner!
I absolutely love the liner that we choose. It is called Carmel and is the perfect shade of blue. The design looks great with the rock, as well.
Filling it up!
Love the lights! They change colors and do a disco light show.
Well, it was too good to be true...we noticed the water level going down. We marked it with painter's tape. Scott tried to tell us it was evaporation. Darin explained the evaporation process to him. Finally, he admitted that he could have possible hooked the pipes up the wrong way. He said that he had yelled in the pipes and asked Javier to listen and tell him which pipe he could hear him from. Seriously?? He had to get a diver to dive down to the deep corner and do a listening test. Scott had to empty the pool, pull back the liner, break up the concrete with a jackhammer, fix the pipes, replace the concrete, liner and fill it up again. Oh My Word!!
The first swim!!
