Although Dane turned 13 on June 2, we had to wait until August to celebrate. He wanted to have the Ceremonial Camp Out that Daks had and we had to wait until summer was over so that all of his friends were available. Just as with Daks, we headed to Mimi and Papa's farm after school on Friday. They boys always love running and jumping over Mimi's shrubs. Darin took off early and went down to start setting things up.
Seth Hill, Dane, Garrett Torrance, Luke Travis, Wesley Smith, and Blake Bartlett helped us celebrate.
Mark Travis and Travis Bartlett attended as well. Mr. Travis spent the night but Mr. Bartlett had to leave around bedtime. Mr. Travis loaded the boys up in his truck to take them down in the pasture.
Dace and Deacon were so glad to get to be a part of it until after the wiener roast.
The tents are set up and ready. The mosquitos got really bad after dusk. I had to make an emergency CV's run for heavy duty OFF!

He let Daks drive him in the pasture to get more firewood. Papa told Daks to go through a gate that Daks did NOT think he could get through. Papa insisted and it scraped up the old truck. It was a highlight!

I can't believe you are a teenager!
After the wiener roast, Mimi, the little boys, and I went back to the house. Darin did the Modern Day Knight ceremony and presented Dane with his gun. Mr. Travis, Mr. Bartlett, and Papa also spoke.
