Deacon had a weekend of travel ball in Hot Springs. The weather had been predicted to be really bad all weekend. We were constantly dodging storms and rains.
Aunt Teri came to watch him play Saturday.
Sunday morning the skies were very ominous.
We got to finish playing then started home around 5 pm. It quickly got nasty and we were watching radars and praying...a lot.
Deacon wasn't worried a bit. lol
This is what we were driving straight into. I got a text from a very shaken up Teri. They had been hit by a tornado. The tornado that eventually wiped out Mayflower and received a lot of media had actually started in Ferndale. The had a dining room glass broken out and lots of damage to their home and property.
The huge tree outside of Timothy's window was completely uprooted.
A family that lived back behind them didn't get out so fortunate. The mother and a child were lost.
The following weekend, we had trap shooting in Jacksonville then a baseball tourney in Batesville. Dane stayed behind after shooting to help in the clean up effort.
